Recount for District 6 Town Council Seat Remains the Same

Winner is Kerry Whitham (R) with 485 votes

In accordance with Sec 9-311 of the Connecticut State Statutes – The Town of Stratford conducted a mandatory recanvasses of one race that occurred on November 7, 2023.

On Monday, November 13, 2023 at 10am in Council Chambers in Stratford Town Hall, a recanvass took place for the 6^th District Council race between Phil Young (D) and Kerry Whitham (R). Kerry Whitham was victorious, winning 485 votes versus Phil Young’s 474 votes.
