Annual Tree Lighting Kicks off Holidays

Share

A Message from Stratford Town Hall

On Wednesday the Mayor as well as other town officials gathered out front of Town Hall for the annual Holiday Lighting Festival! I appreciate everyone who came out to enjoy the festivities, especially given the chilly wind.

Special thanks to:

  • The Lordship Elementary School chorus and Sister Cities Chorus for their wonderful singing to get us into the holiday spirit
  • To Lena Mitchell for helping light up the tree and Town Hall,
  •  Dr. Mogelof for donating candy canes and toothbrushes,
  •  Frenchies for their delicious hot cocoa to keep us warm,
  •  the Bunnell High School volunteers for handing out the cookies and cocoa,
  •  the Conservation Commission for giving away holly saplings,
  •  and the Stratford Public Library for providing fun holiday swag.

We also appreciate Santa taking time out of his busy season to join us and the Stratford Fire Department for helping him get here!

It is one of my favorite Stratford holiday traditions; I love how our community comes together to celebrate. Wishing you and yours a very joyous and healthy holiday season!
