Friday, June 16th Stratford Town Hall, Juneteenth Flag Raising ceremony, 9 a.m. There will be an invocation from Rev. Sandra Hadland of First Baptist Church of Stratford, remarks by Jeffrey A. Fletcher – owner, founder and collector of the Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum, and the raising of the Juneteenth flag by Fire Chief Jermaine Atkinson, Councilwoman Kim Rice and Hailey Connor.

The Stratford Beautification Commission announces its 25th annual Beautification Awards Program. This is your opportunity to nominate properties you believe worthy of recognition. This year, the focus will be on front yards and the curb appeal of local properties. Neighborhood Breakfast at Stratford United Methodist Church, Saturday June 17th, free community breakfast 8:30-10:00 a.m. on the 3rd Saturday of each month: July 17th and August 19th. They offer hot food and community for those in need. Enter through the back of the church. Enjoy a meal and visit the thrift shop, which has affordable clothing, toys, and household items.
