State Representative Laura Dancho (R-120) issued the following statement:

I want to thank all my supporters, donors, family, and dedicated volunteers who granted me the privilege to serve in the Connecticut House of Representatives. I am grateful to those who displayed a lawn sign, stood at the polls, knocked on doors, and were by my side as we fought for a more affordable, safe, and sustainable Stratford.

After seeing the election results, I have conceded my candidacy and want to congratulate my opponent on her victory. My advice to her: embrace all ideas with integrity and put residents first. This election proved that Stratford is made up of a diverse range of ideas and concerns, making it critical to put local interests before party agendas and I hope my opponent can steer away from the special interests that backed her this election.

Looking ahead, I will continue to actively support our residents and families in the 120th District as well as policies that reflect our needs at home. As a fellow resident, we must remember that it is our responsibility to hold our elected officials accountable for upcoming decisions and especially for the promises they make on the campaign trail.

To my beautiful hometown, thank you and may God bless you!

  1. Should we get rid of automobile pollution from pre-2000s cars? There are hundreds of old troubled automobiles in our parking lot. There is no way that they would pass a safety inspection nor could we reach the 2040 electric car goals in Stratford.
