Dear Editor,

I support Kaitlyn Shake for State Representative. As a school social worker and mother, school funding and public safety are two main concerns I have for all people of Stratford and our State. Kaitlyn Shake has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to ensuring that our children receive the resources they need for a quality education. She has also prioritized the safety and well-being of Stratford’s residents by supporting road safety and traffic cameras in school zones and high traffic areas. Her work on the town council has shown us she will fight for us in Hartford too.

While on the town council, Kaitlyn Shake has been an advocate for increased school funding in Stratford and has consistently worked towards and voted towards this end. Kaitlyn understands that a well-funded school system not only strengthens the future of our town but also ensures that every child has the opportunity to thrive. Her proactive approach to addressing budget concerns has been instrumental in keeping education at the forefront of local discussions, especially during difficult financial times.

In addition to her work on education funding, Kaitlyn has been a staunch supporter of improving public safety across Stratford. She has actively collaborated with local officials and first responders to push for policies that enhance the safety of our neighborhoods. Kaitlyn has been a visible and effective leader who listens to her constituents, shows her dedication to and her deep care for the present as well as the future of Stratford.

This is why I support Kaitlyn Shake for State Representative of the 120th district.
