November Storytimes

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. offers weekly storytimes for children. Storytimes meet at 10:30 a.m. On Mondays, Toddler Time meets for ages 0-2. On Tuesdays, Preschool Storytime meets for ages 3-5. Baby Lapsit meets on Thursdays for babies 0-18 months. Friday Fun offers stories and songs for ages 2-5. Book Scientists

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer Book Scientist kits for children ages 3-12. Each kit includes books and activities. Books are selected based on the age of the child participating. Diwali Grab ‘n’ Go Kit

Celebrate the festival of lights with the Stratford Library Children’s Dept. grab ‘n’ go kit about this Hindu festival. Children ages 5-12 are welcome to register for this craft. Treehouse Science

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a treehouse science program for children ages on Tuesday, November 7 at 2:30p.m. Children ages 7-12 are welcome to join us. Piano w/ Friends

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer Piano with Friends: Music Basics class on Tuesday, November 7 at 6 p.m., and Classical Music (Music Basics required first) on Wednesday, November 15 at 4 p.m. for children ages 7-12. Learn about music notes and how to find keys on a music keyboard (class does not replace professional piano lessons). Piano with Friends will meet in the Children’s Program Room. Junior Scientists Grab ‘n’ Go

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a Junior Scientists grab ‘n’ go activity for children ages 4-7 with pick-ups starting on Thursday, November 9th. Thanksgiving Movie Night And Popcorn

Join the Stratford Library Children’s Dept. for some Thanksgiving movie night fun for ages 3-12 on Monday, November 13th at 6 p.m. Learn to make your own popcorn and get festive with us. Matica Arts Performance and Workshop

Join the Stratford Library Children’s Dept for an acro-skills performance and then sign up separately for a workshop to follow, where kids can make their own juggling balls and learn how to juggle. Performance will be on Thursday, November 16th at 2 p.m. (school half-day) for children ages 5 and up, with the workshop following at 2:45 p.m. for children ages 7-12. Preschool Academy

Join the Stratford Library Children’s Dept. for a monthly interactive workshop for parents and preschoolers ages 3-5 on Thursday, November 16th at 6 p.m. The workshop will include activities, stories, and tips on how to get your preschooler Kindergarten ready. Be A Materials Scientist Grab ‘N’ Go 

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. invites you to be an amateur materials scientist. Pickups for the kit start on Monday, November 20th. Kits are courtesy of the Discovery Museum and are for children ages 9-12 with a grown-up’s help. Learn how heat energy transfers through different materials. Lighthouse Quilters

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. offers a monthly, intergenerational quilting program – the November date is Monday, November 20th at 4 p.m. for patrons ages 7 and up. The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. is offering the Nutmeg Book Group for readers in grades 4 to 6. Kids Sewing Holiday Pillows

The Stratford Library Children’s Dept. will offer a kids sewing program on Saturday, November 25th at 2:30 p.m. Children ages 7-12 are welcome to register. This month’s project will be Holiday pillows, children may pick from either Christmas or snow themes. All materials will be provided.
