That’s right: Connecticut’s primary election is Tuesday, August 9th —and we can’t afford to sit this one out. Do you have a plan to vote?

After voting on Tuesday, make way to the Paradise Green gazebo to be entertained by comedian Kevin Dolan at 6:15 p.m. followed by rocking out The Void at 7 p.m. The Void is known from their rock, pop, and R&B chops!!

Stratford youths who participated in Mayor Laura Hoydick’s annual Summer Reading will be honored at a Champion reception on Wednesday, August 10th from 4:30 to 6:30pm outside the historic Perry House, 1128 West Broad Street. Over 260 Stratford youths will be honored with a Mayor’s Reading Champion certificate of recognition at the Summer Reading Challenge celebration, where Champions will be treated to ice cream sundaes and other surprises. This is a drop-in event; families are welcome to stop by any time between 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Learn about Colonial life in Stratford. Thanks to Connecticut Summer at the Museums Judson House has free admission for children (accompanied by an adult). Tours are Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
