Saturday, May 20th, Safe Sitters Class at Sterling House Community Center from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for ages 11+.  Register at www.sterlinghousecommunitycenter.org

Spring Vendor Fair on Saturday, May 20th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain date is May 21st, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.). at the Lordship Community Church, 179 Prospect Drive.  The event features craft and business vendors, food & a bake sale from Lordship Community Church and the food truck ZLicious Caribbean Kitchen and Zack’s Frozen Yogurt, Shortbus Bicycles, live music, a raffle, sponsored lawn flowers, and a food pantry collection for Stratford’s Sterling House Community Center

Sunday, May 21st, Stratford Sister Cities Chorus sponsoring Shall We Dance at the Baldwin Center beginning at 2 p.m.  Celebrating dance in song.  For more information go to: [email protected]  Tickets are available for $10.  Promises to be a good time with great music and dancing.

The Art Show, Generous By Design, honoring and profiling Andy Glad will begin with an opening reception on Sunday, May 21st from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Arts Alliance Gallery at Sterling House Community Center.  The Andy Glad exhibit will open on Monday, May 22nd through to Friday, June 16th.  Hours Monday-Fridays will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Saturday hours will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This art show hopes to highlight his talents as well as the important role art can play in promoting community engagement.

Tuesday, May 23rd Lace up those sneakers to take a walk and enjoy the fresh air, beautiful water views, and vintage cottages and homes.  Parents Place, Stratford YMCA, Stratford Health Department, and The Baldwin Center invite moms and caregivers of infants to join a 5-week walking series every Tuesday during the month of May.  Each week we will be at a different location to give local residents an opportunity to explore the Town of Stratford. Come with your child in a stroller or backpack and walk with some of our community healthcare professionals to learn about health topics relating to your infants. All questions are welcomed!

Wednesday, May 24th, Covid-19 Clinic at the Stratford Health Department from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  First Moderna Bivalent Booster for ages 12+.  Second Moderna Bivalent Boosters available for thos 65+.  Appointments are required.  Please call 203-385-4090.

Cancellation:  The Violet Willows concert scheduled for this Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport, in Stratford, has been cancelled.

10th Annual Veterans Breakfast will be on Wednesday, May 24th At Vazzano’s Four Seasons, 337 Kenyon Street.  Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Breakfast at 11 a.m.  Veterans and their guests will receive a full traditional breakfast.  Registration Deadline: Friday, May 12th.  Questions: Call the Mayor’s Office at (203) 385-4029 or Event Contact: Karin Doyle, Constituent Services Coordinator, email  [email protected].

Make sure you have you Stratford Stickers to get into our parks and beaches. Stickers will be mailed with our automobile taxes on July 1st.
