Free Tax Filing at South End Community Center, 19 Bates Street.  By an IRS certified Volunteer Tax Assistance (VITA) tax preparer. This program is open to all those who quality (households that earn less than $63,000 in 2023).  For appointments or program information call: 203-377-0689.  You may also email them at tysims@townofstratford.com

Monday’s Drop off Only (drop off box at side door in parking lot)

Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Monday, February 19th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Holy Name of Jesus Food Pantry. The food pantry is sponsored by the Connecticut Food Bank, the Stratford Department of Health, and the YMCA.  The Food Bank takes place on every other Monday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and they are asking that cars line up on College Street.  You are also asked to bring your own reusable bag.  There will be 1 bag per household distributed.  Please bring identification if a second household is in the car.

Wednesday, February 21st, Baldwin Center at 11:30 a.m. Know Your Numbers.  Free screening for American Heart Month. Screening includes blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, and waist circumference

Saturday, February 17th Pints for Paws in a Winter Wonderland from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.Two Roads Brewing Company.  Sponsored by: STARS (Stratford Animal Rescue.  Event SOLD OUT  Thank you Stratford!

Sunday, February 18th and Monday, February 19th, the Stratford Library, will be closed in observation of the Presidents’ Day holiday.  The library will reopen on Tuesday, February 20th at 10 a.m.  Current library hours are: Monday-Thursday: 10:00a.m.-8p.m., Friday-Saturday: 10a.m.-5p.m. and Sunday: 1p.m.-5p.m.

Restaurant Week dates announced.  Support our Stratford’s popular Restaurant Week that kicks off on Saturday, February 24th and runs through Saturday, March 2nd.
