Peer Tutoring/Homework Helpers

Grades 5-8

Tuesdays 4-5 P.M. or 5-6 P.M.: Oct. 8, 15, 22, 29

Location: Teen Department.

Are you struggling with class or homework assignments? Need help with math or writing that essay?  We have high school volunteers here ready to help you do your very best. Registration required so we can schedule homework helpers.

Hispanic Heritage Mystery Grab ‘n Go

Grades 8-12

Pickup begins October 8th in the Teen Department

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with a grab n’ go kit that includes a book (that you get to keep) written by a Hispanic author and some popular Hispanic treats!
No registration required; until supplies run out.

Resume Help/Jobs 101

Grades 9-13

Oct. 9: 4-5 P.M.

Location: Teen Department

Are you ready to apply for your first job? We will help you take your school, community & volunteer experiences and turn them into a solid first resume. Once you have your resume, we’ll help you through the job application process. Recommended: bring a draft of your resume. Don’t have one? Let us help you build yours. No registration required.

Throwback Thursday Teen Movie Night: HOCUS POCUS

Grades 6-12

Oct. 10: 4-6 P.M.

Location: Lovell Room

Come lay back and watch a throwback movie at the library with friends. Snacks and refreshments provided. No registration required.

Zombie Barbies

Grades 6-12

Monday, Oct. 28 3-4:30 P.M.

Location: Teen Department

It’s the anti-Barbie program you’ve been waiting for! Come and celebrate Halloween by making those cheerful dolls dressed in pink into brain eating zombies! We’ll supply everything; you bring your creative ideas! We will put them on display when you are finished. No registration required.
