Partner in Lyme, a Stratford based 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting people with Lyme disease, is excited to bring The Monster Inside Me, an Oscar nominated documentary about living with Lyme disease, back to Connecticut on Saturday, April 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at New River Church in Manchester, Connecticut.
Q&A session immediately following movie. There will be raffle items and giveaways!

Partner in Lyme was founded Jessica Snajder’s oldest daughter was diagnosed with chronic Lyme in 2018. “It was my way of creating something good out of a very difficult situation. Our mission is to carry the burden of Lyme. We did this by giving residents of Connecticut $1,000 to put towards their healing. Unfortunately chronic Lyme is not covered by insurance and the average out of pocket expense is $50,000 per year. We also send monthly greeting cards, host local Lyme meetups, and deliver annual holiday Hope Bags.”
Upcoming events include an event at Open Door in Stratford. They have partnered with local artists who will sell their work which will be on display to Open Door all May (Lyme Awareness Month) and will donate at least 50% of the sale proceeds to Partner in Lyme. Our reception is May 18th.
What began with Snajder’s daughter has expanded to a true family effort, as we are not a family run nonprofit, and now three of us are diagnosed with chronic Lyme. I’m proud to say we have assisted 33 people and have been able to assist every person who has applied. This is only possible because donors support the work we do.
