Arts Alliance of Stratford Announces a Call for Artists

Arts Alliance celebrating those who do their art “after hours”

If you’ve followed a career path outside the arts, but have a passion for the arts, the Arts Alliance wants you!

“We’re looking for people from outside the arts community who follow their creative muse after hours. This show is open to all creative disciplines. And we invite professionals of all kinds to review the prospectus and submit their art.” Said Mark Hannon, President.

The show will be in their new home in the renovated gallery at Sterling House Community Center. To be eligible for this show, you must have a creative outlet while earning your living (or retired from), a noncreative field. No matter what career path you’ve followed or what job you hold…if art is not your main career and you have a creative life after hours, we invite you to submit your work.

The deadline for submission is Tuesday November 2nd at 11:59 P.M. and the show will kick off with an Opening Reception Sunday, November 12th from 5-7 P.M. The show will run through December 3rd.

“There are many professionals who dedicate their evenings and weekends to their love of making art, music, writing, and other creative endeavors who wouldn’t normally have an outlet to formally show their work to the public. This is what we aim to do with this show. And we’re especially excited to announce this show is in collaboration with Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC) and Bridgeport Art Trail.” Said Mark Hannon.

Of course, there will be strict CDC mask adherence along with social distancing rules in place for the duration of the show. For more information and to submit your work, please visit https://artsallianceofstratford.org/call-for-artists-creative-after-hours/
