Letter to the Editor of the Stratford Crier
Dottie Lerner,
Former Candidate for State Rep in the 122nd District
Open Letter to the Voters in the 122nd District
Dear Voters,
Running to become your State Representative in our 122nd District has been the experience of a lifetime!
First, I am extending my hardy and heartfelt thank you in gratitude to the Stratford Democratic Town Committee for affording me the opportunity to seek this honorable public service position. The Chairperson and my campaign team of joyful volunteers were there every step of the way to support, inspire, advise, cajole and, at times, even offer solace!
Most importantly, I am grateful to and honored by all the wonderful voters, who came out in support of my candidacy. The voters I met face to face and spoke with along the way
1. have left me with even more respect and love for my fellow human beings than I had before OR
2. have reaffirmed my belief in and love for my fellow human beings.
It is especially meaningful and significant to me to have won the vote in Stratford, my hometown, and in Trumbull.
I deeply regret not having the honor and the responsibility to represent you in Hartford. But I want everyone to know that “I’ve had the time of my life!”
