The Stratford Library will kick-off the new season of its popular “Sunday Afternoon Talks” series of informative and entertaining talks featuring prominent local guest speakers on Sunday, January 24 at 2 pm. The talk is “An Adventure Through Iceland” and will take place on the Library’s Zoom platform. It is free and open to the public.
Elsa Cantor and Don Lamberty will speak on their experiences in Iceland. Retired educators who, as husband and wife, have traveled extensively exploring their interests in culture, religion and ancient traditions. They enjoy sharing their experiences with a variety of groups statewide. Don, as a former science teacher, is very interested in geology, and Iceland provided an opportunity to experience many spectacular features of the land, including volcanoes, hot springs, and waterfalls. The couple will share information about the Mid-Atlantic rift along with numerous other fascinating aspects of Iceland.
The “Sunday Afternoon Talks” series is hosted by Charles Lautier of Stratford, and held from 2-3:30 pm on the Zoom format.
