Alvin O’Neal Wins Third District Primary Election

O’Neal 121 Votes, Singh 72 Votes

Democrats Alvin O’Neal and Michael Singh, who both previously served on the Stratford Town Council, went head to head in a primary election on Tuesday, September 12th for  the right to represent their party in the District 3 race this fall.

O’Neal received 121 votes (including 8 absentee votes) and Singh received 72 votes (13 of which were absentee votes), 193 people voted out of 1,830 = 10.5%, down from 12% in 2019, last parallel primary election.

O’Neal, a Stratford resident for 56 years, represented the Third District on the Town Council for seven years.  He has a building construction and management degree and a Doctor of Religious Education from the Bethel Bible Institute.

O’Neal will face Republican Joseph Bertone in the November 7th general election.
