Each week, we celebrate the Fur Real beings in Stratford of all breeds. There are quite a few fur parents who walk their dogs, or let their cats out for a stroll around town. And yet, at some point, all pet owners head on over to H3 Pet Supply or Petco to grab what they need to make their loved ones happy and comfortable. We hope these short messages, and adorable photos, bring you happiness too. Tell us about your Fur Real family members and submit their stories.

Pixie Lou is our 8.5-year-old pit-Dalmatian rescue, and truly the heart of our home. We adopted her from PAWS in Norwalk after she endured a rough start in life. Once shy and scared, Pixie has blossomed into the sweetest, most loving dog—all thanks to a whole lot of patience, snuggles, and unconditional love.

She’s our gentle “momma bear,” especially with the kids—whether it’s her own or any child lucky enough to meet her. Pixie loves nothing more than sunbathing, long walks, and beach days with her family. To keep her coat fresh and beautiful, she gets pampered at our favorite local spot, The Dog Father Groomers.

We are endlessly thankful for Pixie Lou—our loyal companion, protector, and the happiest reminder that second chances are everything.
