Saturday, October 15th: Break out your Halloween Costumes and come celebrate Stratford’s Great Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 15th from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. The popular festival will take place at Stratford’s historic Boothe Memorial Park at 5800 Main Street.

There will be a costume parade and pumpkin carving contest, a magic show and a Halloween-themed performance by the Connecticut Dance Conservatory. The many historic and unique buildings on the Boothe Park property will be open to the public. See trains, take a hayride, see inside historic buildings, including a blacksmith demonstration.

There will be food from various town civic organizations, together with the Boothe Park Commission. Visitors can also enjoy hay rides and face painting by local high school artists.

The Great Pumpkin Festival 2022 Schedule:
1:15 p.m. Magic Show
2:00 p.m. Pumpkin Carving Contest Winners Announced (Prizes awarded)
2:30 p.m. Costume Parade and Contest (More Prizes!)
3:00 p.m. Connecticut Dance Conservatory Performance
3:30 Last Call to Purchase Tickets (to be used for food and face painting)
Parking is available on-site.

Saturday, October 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Costumed docents from Christ Episcopal Church will lead a Graveyard Tour: Enjoy a living history tour of our historic burial ground. Ben Franklin and William Samuel Johnson, framer and signer of the Constitution will be there! Historic display and refreshments in parish hall. Cemetery behind St. James Church on Monument Place.

Tuesday, October 25th at 7 p.m. True Ghost Stories of Connecticut The Stratford Library will host author Charles F. Rosenay for a special “Meet-the-Author” program on Tuesday, October 25th at 7 pm. Rosenay will discuss his latest book, True Ghost Stories of Connecticut. The talk, presented live in the Stratford Library Lovell Room, is free and open to the public.

Friday, October 28th: Perry Hallow party from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The Perry House Fundraiser will be under a tent and include spooky dinner, drinks and entertainment. Costumes are encouraged! We look forward to you joining us! $70. Reservations required. Please register by Monday, October 17th.
