Urgent Call to Action: Justice for Lucious and Friends

We’re reaching out to you with an urgent plea for assistance regarding the distressing case of animal cruelty that occurred last November involving Lucious and his companions.

Three severely emaciated dogs were rescued from a local individual, suffering from untreated injuries and prolonged starvation. Despite efforts from animal control, one of the dogs had to undergo leg amputation due to the severity of its injuries.

Regrettably, recent developments indicate that Marc Ospina, the individual responsible for the heinous acts of abuse against these innocent animals, may be facing minimal consequences for his actions. This is unacceptable, and we cannot allow justice to be undermined in this manner.

Your support and advocacy are crucial in ensuring that justice prevails for Lucious and his companions. Together, we can make a difference and stand up against animal cruelty.

Here’s how you can help make a difference:

1. Contact the State’s Attorney’s Office: Please take a moment to express your concerns to Supervisor Assistant State’s Attorney Craig Nowak at 203-579-6555. When speaking with them, reference the Marc Ospina cruelty case, docket #F02B-CR23-0354130-S.
2. Reach Out to Animal Advocate G. Kenneth Bernhard: Encourage Mr. Bernhard to prioritize this case by contacting him through the following link: https://www.cohenandwolf.com/team-ken-bernhard.
3. Join Us for a Peaceful Protest: We urge you to attend the court proceedings on April 22, 2024, to peacefully protest. Wear bright colors and bring a sign that reads “Justice for Lucious and Friends.” The protest will take place in front of the Bridgeport Superior Court, located at 172 Golden Hill St, Bridgeport, CT 06604, from 9:30-10:00 am. While signs cannot be brought inside the courtroom, you can enter at 10 am to observe the proceedings. Please ask the court clerk for information on the “Ospina” case.
