“The Year to Save the Earth”

Share

A Multimedia Experience by Jim Scott
Saturday, June 29th 7 p.m.
Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport
275 Huntington Road, Stratford

Mixing powerful songs and projected images, “The Year to Save the Earth” takes us from grieving to celebration, and from protest to positive vision for the planet. Jim’s lyrical melodies and outspoken poetry challenge us to feel, to learn and to act.

Prolific composer, guitarist Jim Scott received an NEA grant to present this multimedia concert. His songs are in the UU Hymnbooks and he helped create the Green Sanctuary program.

With the Paul Winter Consort, Jim was composer of their celebrated Missa Gaia/Earth Mass and sang their anthem song Common Ground. He’s recorded nine CDs of original music, traveled the world and created the Earth and Spirit Songbook, collecting songs by many contemporary composers.
