Soccer Clinics for All Ages

Sterling House Community Center

Soccer Basics Grades 1-4

Kick Start Soccer is a clinic started by and run by local high school players for first time players who want to learn the game of soccer. For boys and girls entering Grades 1 – 4. Learn the basics of soccer while having fun! Players will receive a t-shirt, shin guards, and a soccer ball.

Please note this clinic is not intended for advanced players.  $25 per player for the week  of July 26th – July 30th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. , Short Beach

This program may be canceled due to inclement weather. There are no make-up dates or refunds.

Soccer Skills Preseason Clinic: Co-Ed Program at Wooster Fields

Take your soccer skills to the next level and get ready for the Fall Season. Instructed by Advanced Soccer Training coaches Johnny & George, players will work on Agility, Foot Skills, Shooting Tactics, Game IQ, and Teamwork.

$84 for a 6 Week Session, Begins Week of August 3rd

Tuesdays: Grades 1-3, 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. Aug. 3rd – Sept. 7th

Tuesdays: Grades 4-6, 6:15 – 7:15 p.m., Aug. 3rd – Sept. 7th

Thursdays: Ages 4-5, 5:15 – 6:15 p.m., Aug. 5th – Sept. 9th

Thursdays: Grades 7-12, 6:15 – 7:15 p.m., Aug. 5th – Sept. 9th

Free Soccer Clinic

Saturday August 21st from 10 – 11 a.m., for ages 5 – 14, Co-Ed, at Wooster Field

Come and join the Bunnell Girls Soccer Team for the 2nd Annual Soccer Clinic to practice individual skills and drills. Bring water in a labeled water bottle. Cleats and shin guards are recommended. Players will participate in stations working on their soccer skills with the Bunnell High School Team.

Goalie Clinic

Interested in learning the skills and techniques of the goalkeeper position? Advanced Soccer Training coaches will help boost your confidence and strength in this position.  This program is designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players.

Saturdays August 28th-Sept 18th, 8 -9 a.m., Wooster Field, Grades 3-12, fee of $48

Soccer Shooting and Foot Skills Clinic

This clinic offers a solid technical foundation of individual foot skills, first touch, ball control and ball striking.  Tactical shooting training and finishing techniques that give players a variety of ways to score will also be emphasized.

Advanced Soccer Training coaches will help any player that wishes to improve their fast footwork and goal scoring skills in this fast and fun clinic.

Saturdays August 28th – Sept 18th, Wooster Field, 8 – 9 a.m., Grades 3-12, $48

Boys and Girls Recreational Soccer

  • Practices are held one time per week at various fields in Stratford.
  • Games are held one or two times on Saturdays and/or Sundays at Wooster Field from Sept 25 – Oct 30*.
  • Sterling House will provide jerseys. Shin guards are required.
  • We do not keep records or standings. This is a recreational league for ALL children and abilities.
  • End date subject to change depending on weather cancelations

Soccer Leagues:

Co-ed: Kindergarten & Grade 1 – 4:

Co-ed: Grades 1 & 2

Boys: Grades 3&4, 5&6, 7-10

Girls: Grades 3&4, 5&6, 7-12

Coaches are needed, training will be available.  If interested Email Catherine Proto at cproto@sterlinghousecc.org or register online if you are interested in being a coach.

Learn to Play Soccer

For ages 3-5. Learn the basics of soccer while having fun!

Meets for 6 weeks at Wooster Field on Saturdays from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. or 10:15 – 11:15 a.m. Sterling House will provide a t-shirt and a soccer ball. Shin guards are recommended. Begins Sept 25th.  $83 for the session
