Stratford Walk and Talk Is Back

Share

Every Tuesday in May from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

Dates and Locations Announced

The Stratford Health Department is proud to announce the return of its Annual Multi-Generational Walk N’ Talk series this May, in collaboration with Milford Health Department, Stratford Parents Place, the Baldwin Center, and the Stratford YMCA. This free community wellness initiative is designed to bring people of all ages together to enjoy fresh air, physical activity, and insightful conversations with local leaders and health professionals.

The walks will take place each Tuesday in May from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at scenic locations throughout Stratford and Milford:

   •      May 6 – Dr. Lou Hart at Short Beach

   •      May 13 – Dr. Tabassum Firoz at Shakespeare Park

   •      May 20 – Mayor Laura Hoydick at Roosevelt Forest

   •      May 27 – Mr. Jason Bresky at Silver Sands Beach, Milford

Participants are invited to walk, talk, and engage with fellow residents and expert guests in a relaxed, community-centered environment.

“Stratford is committed to creating a walkable and healthy town for all generations,” said Mayor Laura Hoydick. “With the introduction of bike lanes and continued investment in our parks and trails, we’re making it easier and more enjoyable for everyone to stay active and connected.”

Andrea Boissevain, Stratford Health Director, shared, “The Walk N’ Talk series is a unique opportunity to bring public health to the people—right where they live and play. We’re thrilled to collaborate with our community partners to support physical and mental well-being across generations.”

This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome—whether you’re pushing a stroller, walking a dog, or coming solo for a breath of fresh air and good company.
