Summer Concert at Stratford Library
New England Guitar Society Returns via Zoom on July 25th
The Stratford Library will host the return of the popular New England Guitar Society in an online Zoom format on Sunday, July 25 at 2 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
The New England Guitar Society was established to create a nurturing environment for classical guitarists to meet, share ideas, perform, compose, teach and grow as musicians. For the library concert a group recital will feature six musicians: Agatha Dalton, Richard Vencus, John Maxwell Steinhoff, Karthikeya Lakoji, Bobby Fritz and Suzan Maxey.
They will be performing works by Albeniz, Bach, Sor, Tárrega, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, Sato, Mertz, Baden Powell, and more. The lively concert for all ages is performed under NEGS Artistic Director and President Cem Durouz.
