Stratford Library Kids Events
Book Scientists Star Wars
Join the Stratford Library in a galaxy far far away for our Star Wars Book Scientists kit for ages 3-12. Registration started Tuesday, May 3rd. Read and explore with Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo & other members of the Resistance for a few books, a craft, or an activity. Kits are checked out on a Library Card. Books are selected based on age of the child participating. When you are done, return the Library books by their due date and keep everything else!
Seed Library Grab ‘n’ Go
Pick up a Seeds kit featuring Beans or Sunflowers on Thursday, May 12th and Thursday, May 26th for all ages. Sign-ups begin 4 weeks prior, pick up starts on the date listed. Included are the seeds and instructions for planting. Seed kits will be offered twice a month for May & June.
Baby Lapsit
The Stratford Library will offer an in person Baby Lapsit on Friday, May 13th at 10:30 am for any infants who are still lapsitters. Come enjoy songs and rhymes with the littlest family members in your life. Lapsit meets in the Library Lovell Room. Summer story times begin June 20th. Astronomy Club Kit
The Stratford Library offers Astronomy Club Kits for ages 7-12 with pick up beginning Monday, May 16th. Participants will receive an Astronomy sticker sheet and some facts about outer space! Astronomy Club will meet again in June.
Toddler Time
On Monday, May 16th the Stratford Library will offer an in person storytime for toddlers ages 0-2 which will meet outside at 10:30 am weather permitting. Enjoy some songs, finger plays, rhymes, stories, and more! Summer storytimes start June 20th. To register, visit the website at stratfordlibrary.org, then choose Events. Preschool Storytime
On Tuesday, May 17th the Stratford Library will offer an in person storytime for preschoolers ages 3-5 which will meet outside at 10:30 am weather permitting. Jr. Scientists Grab ‘n’ Go
The Stratford Library will offer a Jr. Scientists Grab ‘n’ Go kit with pick up beginning Wednesday, May 18th for ages 3-7. For any science enthusiasts, come grab a Jr. Scientist’s kit with an experiment you can complete at home! Please use with adult supervision. To register, visit the website at stratfordlibrary.org.
Shapes Parade
Come explore the world of shapes with a Shapes Parade Kit, pick up starts at the Stratford Library on Thursday, May 19th with an activity based on a different shape. For ages 3-6. To register, visit the website at stratfordlibrary.org /kids.
Book Scientists US Armed Forces
On Friday, May 20th join the Stratford Library in learning about the men & women who fight for our country with our US Armed Forces Book Scientists kit for ages 3-12. Included will be a few books and a craft or activity to highlight these brave individuals who give their all for our nation. LEGO Club
The Stratford Library will offer LEGO Club on Monday, May 23rd at 4 p.m. for ages 5-12. Children will be given LEGOs and will work on different projects each month. LEGO Club meets outside, weather permitting.
Memorial Day Grab ‘n’ Go
Starting Tuesday. May 24th pick up a kit with a Grab ‘n’ Go activity to celebrate an early Memorial Day with ages 3-12.
DIY Garden Sticker Craft
Come celebrate spring with the Library’s DIY Garden Sticker Sheet, pick up beginning on Wednesday, May 25th for ages 4-9.
Superhero Grab ‘n’ Go
Let your imagination soar like a Superhero by registering on Tuesday, May 31st with our Superhero Grab ‘n’ Go Kit for ages 6-10. Each kit will feature an activity and a craft. We will let you know when kits are ready for pick up.
