Softball
Stratford High School Softball qualified for the State Tournament. The softball team won 12-11 on Tuesday and finished the regular season 11-9, and they will await their opponent in the first round of the States.
Boys Tennis Team
The Stratford High School Boys Tennis Team capped a very successful 2024 Tennis Season with terrific showings at the SWC TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS at Wolfe Park in Monroe.
They qualified in 5 out of 7 positions in this year’s SWC Tournament. The qualifiers are:
At #2 and #3 singles respectively, Manny Nunez and Gabriel Rodriguez.
All 3 doubles teams qualified! A remarkable accomplishment!
#1 Doubles – Dan Fernandes and Joey Holton
#2 Doubles – Josh Barg and Marcus Barron
#3 Doubles – Derrick Paolucci and Erick Ortiz
The Barg/Barron and Paolucci/ Ortiz doubles tandems went on to defeat and upset higher seeds in the first round! #5 seeded Barg/Barron defeated their #4 seeded Masuk rivals. And the #6 seeded Paolucci/Ortiz duo was the tournament upset special as they defeated #3 seeded Masuk!
