The Justice System and You
What can you lean on if you’ve been wronged?
An impartial justice system and the rule of law have been the guard rails for our rights from the beginning. They allow us to freely make choices for ourselves within the boundaries of existing laws. Project 2025 appears to have something else in mind.
- Project 2025 would create a system in which “court decisions are consistent with the President’s agenda.” [page 44]
- It calls for loyalists to the president to be installed for all positions in the Justice Department, for the Attorney General, and for lawyers in federal and state positions. (“It is the President’s agenda that should matter to the departments and agencies that operate under his constitutional authority”.) [Page 44]
- Under Project 2025, federal laws would override local judicial decisions. [Page 553]
- Federal civil service workers (which includes postal workers) would be appointed by the president to ensure loyalty. [page 80]
