Season 2, Episode 1: Judson House to Bond’s Dock

Walk into Stratford’s past as you explore the Historic District and beyond with Town Historian, David Wright. Discover stories of the people, places, and events that have shaped the town throughout its history while enjoying a light stroll through the evening, summer air! Each walk features a different walking path and topic of conversation.

Walkers meet at the Captain David Judson House by 7 p.m.

Inclement weather dates will be the following Thursday at the same time.

Members $3, Non-members $5

Member child $1.50, Non-member child $2.50

The Stratford Historical Society’s (SHS) mission is to preserve, protect, cherish, and celebrate the history of the Town of Stratford.

Local history is alive at the Captain David Judson House, Catharine B. Mitchell Museum, and Beach Family Carriage House! Take a tour of our colonial house and history museum.

The Stratford Historical Society Offices are open every Tuesday and Friday from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. and by appointment.

CT Summer at the Museum 2023

Connecticut residents are eligible for free admission for visitors under the age of 18 and one adult caregiver between July 1st and September 4th. Additional adults are $7 per person. (Members are always free!) You must register in advance by phone to take advantage of this opportunity and may be asked to prove residency with ID upon arrival. Does not apply to group visits, such as camps and schools.

CT Summer at the Museum is Supported by Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development’s Office of the Arts in partnership with Connecticut Humanities with funding from the federal American Rescue Plan Act as allocated by the state legislature.

Details:

  • Join us for a docent-led tour of the Judson House followed by a self-guided visit to the museum.
  • Tours are 45 to 60 minutes in length.
  • Members are free, all others are $7 per person.
