Wednesday, June 5th at 9 AM
Town Hall
Town of Stratford
For the sixth year in a row, the Town of Stratford will be flying the rainbow flag at Town Hall throughout the month of June. A Pride celebration is scheduled on Wednesday, June 5th at 9am on the steps of Town Hall, 2725 Main Street.
Dr. Gary Blick, founder of the Dr. Gary Blick Scholarship Fund, will be speaking and members from local clergy will join other community leaders at the event, which is open to the public. All are welcome to attend.
Pride, a month-long celebration of the LGBTQ+ communities during June, was originally started as a commemoration of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City. Since then, Pride has spread across the country, promoting visibility and equality for the LGBTQ+ community.
