Dear Neighbor,
You are invited to learn about the work that will be done to improve eight intersections in Stratford. The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will host a virtual public information meeting on Thursday, December 19, at 6:00 P.M.
The $4.33 million statewide construction project will replace:
- existing stop signs
- stop bars
- approximately 50 feet of double yellow pavement marking
Crews will also introduce oversized stop signs, stop ahead signs, and intersection ahead warning signs with the goal of improving safety by avoiding future crashes. The CTDOT expects construction to begin in spring 2026.

Spada Blvd. at Honeyspot Rd.
W. Broad St. at Beardsley Ave.
W. Broad St. at Rockwell Ave.
Huntington Rd. at Tavern Rock Rd.
South Ave. at Spada Blvd.
South Ave. at Mt. Camel Blvd.
Broadbridge Ave. at King St.
Huntington Rd. at Fenelon Pl.
The  public information meeting is an opportunity for you to ask questions and provide feedback on the project. The meeting will take place on Zoom, and you must register.

This meeting will also be livestreamed on the CTDOT YouTube channel. No registration is required there. Non-English language closed captioning will be available on Zoom and YouTube. The recording will also be posted immediately following the meeting in the list of CTDOT virtual public meetings at portal.ct.gov/ctdotVPIMarchive.
