Khristina Sinche

January 21, 2010 – January 8, 2026


Khristina was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She had a beautiful spirit and a heart that touched everyone who knew her. Her smile, kindness, and unique presence brought light into the lives of those around her, and her memory will forever be cherished. She leaves behind her loving parents, Christian Sinche, and Taina Fontanez, and her two youngest siblings, Christian Sinche Jr., and Elena Sinche, who looked up to her and will always carry her love with them. Khristina is also survived by extended family members and friends whose lives were deeply impacted by knowing her.

Mark Edward Iwaszkiewicz

January 16, 1979 – January 8, 2026


Mark Edward Iwaszkiewicz, age 46, of Stratford passed away on January 8. 

Born January 16, 1979, in Bridgeport Hospital, Mark grew up in Stratford and was a graduate of Bunnell High School. A tinkerer and a builder, he worked as a building contractor for the family business. Mark was funny and fun-loving and loved adventure, especially motorcycling, warm weather, and fishing in the ocean. He was a member of the Polish Scouting Organization (ZHP) and a lover of baseball. He played Little League as a kid and was a fan of the NY Yankees. He loved his family, especially his niece and nephew. Read more

Addie Lee Chase 

May 1, 1951 – October 21, 2025


Addie Lee Pickus Chase, born and raised in Stratford, Connecticut, passed away on October 21 after a long illness. Addie was a beloved and well-known piano teacher in Fairfield and New Haven counties for over 40 years, inspiring generations of students with her passion for music and teaching.

The daughter of Stratford theatre owner Albert M. Pickus and Leliah Elliot Pickus, founder and conductor of the Queens of Rhythm in the 1930s, Addie grew up surrounded by creativity and performance.  Read more

Marcia Tivadar Anthony

October 6, 1956 – August 30, 2025

Marcia Tivadar Anthony, age 68, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Marcia was born in Bridgeport on October 6, 1956, to the late Anthony and Veronica (Burke) Tivadar and had been a lifelong area resident.

She was a retired Registered Nurse for Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. Survivors include her devoted daughter, Katelen Telesha (Jimmy Goncalves), cherished grandsons, Mickey and Jackson, brother, Joseph Tivadar, sister, Cheryl Mercure, brother-in-law, Kevin Brown, and several nieces and nephews. Christopher Peter Bugarchich, age 85, of Stratford, the beloved husband of Tamara Bugarchich, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in Bridgeport Hospital.

Edward R. Bruce

September 27, 1965 – August 12, 2025

Edward R. Bruce, age 59, of Monroe, passed away peacefully surrounded by his two daughters on August 12, 2025, in his home.

Ed was born in Bridgeport on September 27, 1965, beloved son of Jeanne (Levesque) Bruce and the late Edward Bruce. He was a graduate of Stratford High School, class of 1984 and worked as a foreman for Radzwillas Builders.

Anne Z. Lussen

October 20, 1930 – August 12, 2025

Anne Z. Lussen, age 94, of Stratford passed away peacefully at Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. She was the widow of Robert E. Lussen.

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on October 20, 1930 she was a daughter of the late Emil H. and Mamie Zehnder Ziegler. She was an active member of Summerfield United Methodist Church for nearly 6 decades, serving in many roles as an officer of the UMW, fair committee, organist, and choir director. Read more

David Wenceslaus Galanek

February 18, 1944 – August 7, 2025

David Wenceslaus Galanek, age 81,  of Shelton, passed away on August 7, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital.  Born in Bridgeport he was the beloved son of  Wenceslaus and Alice Bassett Galanek and was a life long area resident.  

David was a proud  member of  the US Army serving in Vietnam and loved music, his record collection and playing the piano. Read more

Denis John Webb

August 2, 2025

Denis Webb, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025. Denis was the beloved husband of Joanne Najpauer Webb. Born in Bridgeport, Denis’s zest for life and love for his family were the hallmarks of his wonderful journey through life.

Denis is also survived by his beloved daughter, Melissa Kluth, and her husband, Frank; cherished grandson, Dylan Kluth; sister, Joanne Webb; brother-in-law, Frank Najpauer and his wife, Susan; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Webb.

Denis was well-known in Stratford as the friendly and devoted owner of Dobby’s Men’s Shop in Stratford Center. His warm smile and thoughtful advice made him more than just a businessman; he was a trusted friend to his customers and a respected member of the local business community. Read more
