Eighteen dedicated parents from schools across town were honored on May 7th as the newest graduates of Stratford Parents SEE (Supporting Educational Excellence), a program designed to empower families as leaders and advocates within the education system. Parents SEE is co-authored by Patrice Nelson from Partners for Educational Leadership, who still oversees the statewide program.
Over the course of 13 in-depth sessions, participants learned how to become effective parent leaders, build strong partnerships with schools, and collaborate with the broader community to promote positive outcomes for all students.
The graduation of this 12th cohort brings the total number of Parents SEE alumni to over 200 — a growing network of informed and engaged parents making a lasting impact on local schools.
