Let’s show up for our neighbors! We’re expecting a snowstorm this Sunday, and we’re calling on our community to reach out and help those around you — especially older adults, people with disabilities, or those who may need a hand.
Step 1: Look Out for Your Neighbors
- Check in with neighbors near you—especially older adults, people with disabilities, or those who may need a hand.
- A quick knock, text, or wave goes a long way in building community.
Step 2: Shovel Safely
- Clear walkways, driveways, and entrances if your neighbor says YES.
- Dress warmly, pace yourself, take breaks, and only shovel what feels doable for you. If conditions are too icy or heavy, it’s okay to stop—checking in on a neighbor still counts as showing up. Your safety matters to us.
Step 3: Share or Upload
- Complete our Google Form and upload your photo HERE — or share it on social media and tag @SterlingCommunityCenter so we can celebrate and share your snowy service!
- For teens: Be sure to record your volunteer hours on the form. We’ll provide a certificate of service hours upon request.
Shovel. Smile. Selfie. Support Your Neighbors.
