When the music fades and the corsages wilt, the hours after prom can be the most dangerous of the night for high school students. The Stratford High Post Prom Committee is determined to change that, and they’re asking the community to help.
In an effort to fund a safe and supervised post prom celebration for the Class of 2026, the committee is hosting an Adult Prom on Thursday, April 2nd at Two Roads Brewing Company, 1700 Stratford Ave. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the event runs through 10:00 p.m. Admission is restricted to guests 21 and older.

The fundraiser carries a fittingly nostalgic theme: 80’s vs. 90’s, and invites the attendees to settle the age old debate on the dance floor. Guests are encouraged (but not required) to dress to impress in their best decade inspired attire. The evening will feature light food, a DJ, photo opportunities and a raffle.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly toward providing the 262 Stratford High seniors an environment to celebrate safely after their prom. These events are essential to keep students off the roads during one of the highest risk nights of the year for young drivers.
“Post prom events give our kids somewhere to be,” said one committee organizer. “It’s about peace of mind for parents and a great night for the seniors.”
Community members are also able to donate directly towards a graduating senior’s post prom experience through the Sponsor a Senior program. Funds raised will cover each student’s access to prizes, food, a premier venue and special surprises on the night of the event.
