Stratford Library Teen Events in September

    • 9/3-9/16: Teen Back to School Grab n’ Go Kit
      Everything you need to get ready for school, courtesy of the Stratford Library Teen Department. Pick it up in person after school and tell us about a new class or teacher, and get an extra bonus! Grades 6-12. While supplies last. No registration required. Location: Teen Department.
    • 9/15: 4:00-5:00 pm: Represent Your Flag!
      In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month come in and decorate a flag representing where you come from. Grades 6-12. No registration required. Location: Teen Department.
    • 9/15: 3:00-4:00 pm and 9/16: 3:30-4:30 pm: Teen Volunteer Open House
      Learn more about volunteering in the Children’s, Teen, uCreate Department or becoming a Homework Helper by attending 1 of these sessions.  We’ll cover everything you need to know, including applications, interviews, orientations, registrations, responsibilities, and schedules. Applications will be accepted from September 15th to 27th only so be sure to mark your calendars! For more details, check out www.stratfordlibrary.org/volunteer. Space is limited and late applications won’t be accepted. Grades 8-13. Location: Lovell Room.
    • 9/17: 4:30-5:30 pm: Teen Lingo Lounge
      Have you been looking for a fun way to learn or practice a new language? Come connect with others and help each other perfect this skill. We will also use the library’s database Transparent Language as a guide. Meeting twice a month in the Teen Department starting September 17th. Grades 6-12. No registration required. Location: Teen Department.
    • ¿Has estado buscando una forma divertida de aprender o practicar un nuevo idioma? Ven a conectar con otros y ayúdense mutuamente a perfeccionar esta habilidad. También utilizaremos la base de datos de la biblioteca, Transparent Language, como guía. Reuniones dos veces al mes en el Departamento de Adolescentes a partir del 17 de septiembre.
    • 9/25: 3:30-4:30 pm: Kindness Club 2.0 Being part of this club is easy! Join other teens as we team up to create cards, bracelets, crafts or small thoughtful gifts to share with others & bring a little brightness into someone’s day. Have a great idea for a Kindness project, let’s see if we can work together to make it happen.  Each month we will take on a new project – come find out what this month’s project will be. Grades 6-12. No registration required. Location: Lovell Room.
