What is better than enjoying a good meal, with good people, while listening to good music for a good cause?
On March 21st, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., you can enjoy a full meal and live DJ. In my book, nothing could be better, except when that meal also helps to support burn survivors and their families (and the arts to boot) – now, THAT’S a good meal.
The Stratford Rotary is hosting its annual Johnny’s Ribs Dinner, an event that has been happening for the past 27 years. When the event launched in 1999 at what was Johnny’s Restaurant, Stephanie Philips, District Governor for the Rotary, said, “He closed the restaurant for us, and Rotarians were the servers.” The fundraiser will be hosted at Vazzano’s Four Seasons, and while the location may have changed since Johnny’s Restaurant, the heart of the event remains unchanged: to help people.
In 2025, our local Rotary, a group of volunteers who are invested in the health of our Stratford community, raised over $50,000 and provided financial support to local students, organizations, and causes. “This is what Rotary is all about. When our community comes together for a fun evening, we can make a real difference for burn survivors and bring inspiring arts programs to more people,” says Stephanie.

Grab some friends, fill a table, and receive a discount when you do. You can have some fun and help a neighbor in need all in one night. You can purchase tickets here.
Via email Stephanie extended this invitation: Join us for a fun evening that makes a real difference. Proceeds from this event benefit the Connecticut Burn Care Foundation, which provides support, recovery programs, and hope for burn survivors and their families, and the New Paradigm Theatre Company, which brings inclusive arts programs and educational opportunities to our communities. Enjoy great food, good friends, and lively DJ music featuring Johnny’s famous BBQ ribs, Chicken Marsala, Salmon (pescatarian), and Vegetarian Pasta Primavera. The evening also includes silent auctions, raffle baskets, and a 50/50 raffle with plenty of chances to win. Cash bar available. Tickets are $65 per person, with a 10% discount for tables of 8 to 10.
Sponsored by the Stratford Rotary Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
