Our mayor, Laura Hoydick, has been very busy with ribbon cuttings as local businesses open (and in some cases, reopen). On Wednesday, July 9th, Karen Harlow and her staff welcomed the mayor and the Economic and Community Development team for the re-opening of H3 Pet Supply on Paradise Green. While H3 Pet Supply has been a staple in Stratford for over 10 years, they downsized their pet supply shop earlier this year and relocated to Paradise Green. What do you get when you walk into (or you and your dog or cat) H3 Pet Supply? Of course, there are treats for cats and dogs, food, and grooming supplies, but what makes this supply shop even more special? It has to be the handmade (knitted) beds for cats and dogs, made with love by owner Karen Harlow.
I, for one, know that my dogs, Evelyn and Oliver, consider H3 Pet Supply a place for them (and all of the other dogs & cats in the neighborhood, of course). Not only are they welcomed as they are—wet, or drooling, antsy or nervous, curious or shy—they know that they will be greeted with a smile, a treat, and usually, both! Congratulations on your ribbon-cutting H3 Pet Supply, and thank you for welcoming your furry customers—and their owners—as they are.

In a few short days, High Profile, a cannabis dispensary (the first of its kind in Stratford), will open on Honeyspot Road. Mayor Hoydick will be present at the 4:00 pm ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 17th. High Profile’s parent company, C3 Industries, oversees the building and launching of dispensaries across the country.
Welcome to both of these Stratford businesses, new and relocated.
