Dear Reader,
And just like that, July is coming to a close. Today’s issue is one of illusion and reality, or at least, that is what must be considered when you go and see Singin’ in the Rain at Playhouse on Park. For now, reading Tom’s review of the performance, just may hold you over for a bit.
Around town, this was the week of celebrations and endorsements, with the mayoral candidates endorsed, and slates chosen. Our reality here in Stratford over the next few months leading up to November is this: we all stand in the reality that life does go on (and can be quite unpredictable), whether we are navigating the road of love or loss, whether we identify as Republican, Democrat, Independent, or something in between, whether we are immigrants, or whether we were born in the United States, we must chug on, sputtering along from time to time. We must get on the bus, find our way towards some good trouble, and return home with a perspective that reminds us that in community, anything is possible.
Yes, anything is possible.
