Film Festival: “GREAT MOVIES YOU MISSED!”, beginning Monday June 17-21, noon in the Lovell Room. The Library’s 16th annual festival celebrates a series of critically acclaimed films that somehow fell under the radar. Schedule includes: “Anatomy of a Fall” (Monday, 6/17), “All of Us Strangers” (Tuesday, 6/18), “The Zone of Interest” (Wednesday 6/19), “Love Lies Bleeding” (Thursday, 6/20) and “American Fiction” (Friday, 6/21). Monday, June 17th Summer Camps by the Stratford Recreation Department
Tuesday, June 18 at 9 a.m. Mayor Hoydick will join local officials to recognize Juneteenth, the celebration of the end of slavery in the United States, at a ceremony on the steps of Town Hall. The event will feature remarks by Cynthia Griffin, the founder of Juneteenth Celebrations in Fairfield County, Reverend Sandra Hadland of the First Baptist Church of Stratford. The Juneteenth flag will be raised by Town Councilors Rene Gibson, Anthony Afriyie and Alvin O’Neal and Fire Chief Jermaine Atkinson.
