“Summer Splash,” a variety of watercolor paintings, shell art and canvasses by Milford artist Patricia Russell Knapp, is the current art exhibit at the Stratford Library.
Knapp is a native of New York City and has resided in Connecticut since early childhood. She embarked on her painting career in 2009 after retiring from Honey Bear Learning Center in Stratford. As co-founder and the original owner and director of the pre-school, Knapp taught children art and various crafts for thirty years. Her art is on temporary display at Café Atlantique in Milford. Her last full show was at Milford’s Fire House Gallery, and she recently demonstrated watercolor painting at the Open Door Tea House in Stratford. She also teaches watercolor styles at Stratford’s Baldwin Center and conducts sketching classes at the Orange Senior Center.
