The exhibit, entitled “Seas the Day”, is the fifth appearance by Milford artist Rick Senft.
Senft is a well-known, award-winning local artist who has shown work along the east coast from Provincetown to Key West, as well as Italy and China. His paintings hang in numerous galleries and private collections, including Milford’s Gilded Lily Gallery where he has been represented for twenty years.
Senft’s work encompasses mostly impressionistic scenes of seascapes and landscapes done in oils, acrylics and watercolor. He also does portrait work as well as collages, assemblage, and some sculpture. He attended the University of Bridgeport graduating with an MFA, and then enrolled in the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan. Most recently he illustrated the lyrics for a children’s book entitled “Thanks for Your Understanding”, which utilized his cartooning skills.
