April Storytimes

Storytimes meet at 10:30 A.M.

  • On Mondays, Toddler Time meets for ages 0-2.
    • On Tuesdays, Preschool Storytime meets for ages 3-5.
    • Baby Lapsit meets on Thursdays for babies 0-18 months.
    • Friday Fun offers stories and songs for ages 1-5.

LEGO Club

Ages 5-12

Thursday, April 3 at 4:00 P.M.

Around The World with The Hungry Caterpillar: Slovakia

Ages 4-12

Monday, April 7 at 4:00 P.M.

Listen to The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle in both English and Slovak. We will also learn about Slovak culture, food, and more. Registration is required. Science Club

Ages 7-12

Tuesday, April 8 at 6:00 P.M.

Kids Lego Robotics Club

Ages 7-12

Wednesday, April 9 at 4:00 P.M.

Registration is required

Thanks to a grant from the Stratford Rotary Club, the Library now owns LEGO Spike Essential kits, which combine LEGO building with some coding fun! Sew A Circle Skirt

Ages 8 to adult

Starting on Thursday, April 10 at 4:00 P.M. and continuing on Thursdays until finished.

Book Scientists Kits

Ages 3-12

Registration is required

Each kit includes books and activities. Books are selected based on the age of the child participating. This month the themes will be Earth Day (April 11) and Language (April 25). Seed Library Grab’n’Go

Children’s Dept.

Pick up on Mondays, April 14 (Zinnias) and 28 (California Blue Bells)

Vegetable seeds will be offered on Fridays, April 4 (Radishes) and April 18 (Lettuce)

Registration is required, but drop-ins welcome as quantities allow

Pet Care 101 with the CT Humane Society

Ages 8-12

Tuesday, April 15 at 1:00 P.M.

Learn the ins and outs of pet ownership review what you already know about pets and build upon your knowledge to better understand what pets need to thrive in their environment. Participants will learn about a pet’s basic needs, costs associated with pet ownership, and which pet is the right fit for your family.
