Kelly Kerrigan, Stratford’s World Champion!

Kelly Kerrigan, Environmental Conservation Superintendent at Town of Stratford, won the World Champion title at the 2024 Lumberjack World Championships in Hayward, Wisconsin, last week.

The Lumberjack World Championships is an International competition showcasing the best sawing, chopping, speed climbing, log rolling, boom-running and more! The 65th Competition & Festival ran from July 31 – August 2nd.

In homage to the past, the Lumberjack World Championships celebrates the skills of the world’s greatest lumberjacks and lumberjills, their speed, balance, lightness of foot, strength, focus, and amazing timber skills

Kelly won the 2-Women Cross Cut vent with her partner, Martha King. They completed the event with the fastest time, besting 15 other teams, officially securing the title of World Champions.
