State Representative Shake Given Committee Assignments
Democratic State Representative Kaitlyn Shake was sworn in on Wednesday for her first term and will represent the 120th district, covering Stratford.
“I am honored to serve the people of Stratford and for the opportunity to build a stronger community,” State Rep. Shake said.
The swearing-in ceremony occurred in the House Chamber on Opening Day of the 2025 Connecticut Legislative Session.
Rep. Shake will serve on the Labor and Public Employees, Public Safety and Security and Human Services committees.
“As State Representative, I will continue to advocate for and address the needs of our residents and community. I vow to be a leader who works tirelessly across the aisle with civility and determination,” Rep. Shake said.
Rep. Shake lives with her family in Stratford where she has served on the town council as Democratic Party Leader for three terms. She works as a Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience caring for women and children. Rep. Shake is a dedicated community member and is passionate about this new opportunity to serve Stratford.

I am honored to serve the people of Stratford and for the opportunity to build a stronger community. As the 2025 legislative session begins, my colleagues and I will tackle several important issues over the next 5 months. It is easier than ever to follow along and get involved.
