September 9, 2026 – Stratford, Conn. – The Town of Stratford and the Stratford Hispanic Heritage Committee are proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the 21st annual Latin Music Festival, sponsored by Celebrate Stratford. This popular event is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will take place on Paradise Green, Stratford.
The celebration will begin on September 15 at 9 a.m. with the Hispanic Heritage Flag Raising Ceremony on the steps of Town Hall, 2725 Main Street.
This year’s Hispanic Heritage Month theme is “Unidos, Somos Más,” which translates to “Together, We Are More.” This theme focuses on unity, resilience, and the collective impact of Hispanic and Latino communities.
National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans whose heritage is rooted in countries throughout Latin America.
The Latin Music Festival will showcase performances by renowned Latin bands and folkloric dance groups, including Orquesta Afinke, Agua Pa Chocolate, Ballet Folklórico Las Américas, and Danza Folklórico Group, while celebrating the rich music, arts, and cultural traditions of Hispanic communities. The festival will feature more than 45 vendors, including food trucks, arts and crafts booths, and community organizations. The festival kicks off the Town’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, which take place annually from September 15 through October 15.
“The Latin Music Festival reflects the spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating pride in our heritage and carrying forward the traditions that shape our identity. The festival highlights the importance of sharing and embracing all the many cultures in Stratford, honoring traditions through music while celebrating the stories that unite us,” said Gladys Ramos, founder of the Stratford Hispanic Heritage Committee.
Parking is available at Adzima Funeral Home at 50 Paradise Green Place, M&T Bank at 3395 Main Street, the Stratford Unitarian Universalist Church at 275 Huntington Road, and the Stratford Baptist Church at 131 Huntington Road, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the festivities. Tents are permitted for registered vendors only.
