Original One-Acts Next on the Schedule

The Stratford Library and Square One Theatre Company continue the six-play series, Readers Theatre Summer Showcase 2023 with “A Teachable Moment” set for Thursday, June 22nd at 7 p.m. The annual series of live, staged readings of new and established plays will continue on select Thursday evenings through July 27th. The theatre readings are free and open to the public.
“A Teachable Moment, is a series of short, unrelated and original one-act plays by Connecticut playwrights Stuart Brown of West Hartford and Jennifer Ju of Milford. The plays include “House Hunted” and “A Teachable Moment” by Brown and “Happier Days” and “Fezzi and Frank” by Ju. Actors Mark Frattaroli and Lucy Babbitt of Stratford and Julia Allen of Milford will perform in the readings under the direction of Tom Holehan.
The Readers Theatre Summer Showcase 2023 series will be held in the Stratford Library’s air-conditioned Lovell Room at 7 p.m. All plays are recommended for adult audiences and titles are subject to change. The readings are free and reservations will not be accepted. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for general seating only, first-come, first-served.
