Dear Readers,
February is the month that we celebrate love, as well as the history, accomplishments, and journeys of Black people. In this week’s issue, our contributors continue to explore both of these themes.
In Orna’s article this week, she celebrates the generosity of one community’s beloved postman, Jay. We live in a town where our community members often put service above self.
This month, my bookstore is hosting our public servants from our firefighters to our postman, to honor the Love of Reading. I hope you will follow along, and I encourage you to pick up a book from our local library or our local bookstore, and nurture your love of reading (and/or promote someone else’s love).
And before you head off to go about your day, please take some time to read over the names on the Bunnell and Stratford High School Honor Roll Lists. We wish all of our local students great success as they head into the second half of the school year.
