Dear Neighbor,
We all know how costly going to the grocery store can be, buying the basics: eggs, milk, or butter can feel like a tight squeeze, and it is! In our issue this week, we hear from Jim Cameron, who reminds us that soon, sending mail with one stamp may cost us $1. And then there’s Mayor Chess’s $12 million proposed budget increase, and scheduled budget workshop meetings so our entire community can better understand the town budget.
Spring is here, and there is much to celebrate around Stratford ,from Shakespeare’s birthday next month to soccer and softball season for local kiddos to summer camp sign-ups. Check out our community calendar for more!
Have you heard about the new (and newish) businesses in town? Grab a friend, make a friend, and get out there and enjoy the sunshine this week and discover something new around town – like Pikly’s Restaurant, the American Barbershop on the Green, or peek into the gaming spot, which is under construction in Station House Square.
Thank you for spending time with the articles in this week’s issue. We hope you will share it with a neighbor!
