One week later, on Wednesday, March 19, the Stratford Town Council held a special meeting to officially move the mayor’s budget forward to the Ordinance Committee, which consists of all 10 Town Council members.

Immediately following the special meeting, the Ordinance Committee launched its first budget workshop. These workshops are designed to provide a detailed review of each department’s budget, focusing on transparency and community involvement. The first workshop concentrated on the Board of Education, and members acknowledged the possibility of scheduling an additional BOE budget meeting later in the review process if necessary.

All Ordinance Committee budget workshops will be held at the Baldwin Center as the review process continues.
