Singer/songwriter Ken Besocke presents an engaging program blending captivating storytelling with well-crafted songs, exploring the fascinating characters, local history, strange occurrences, legends, myths, mysteries, and folklore of the Nutmeg State. The music features acoustic guitar, 5-string banjo, and mandolin, creating a rich and evocative soundscape.

July 14 at 7 pm: The Frank Porto Band. The band has a vibrant big sound playing hit music from The Great American Song Book and featuring songs from Sinatra and Big Band Classics, The Beatles, The 4 Seasons and James Brown. TFPB members include: Frank DeVito on Sax and Clarinet, Fred Mariano on Trumpet and Flugelhorn, Jim Olbrys on Guitar, Don Hurta on Bass, Ken Ginsberg on Drums and John Noonan on Vocals. TFPB is known for getting everyone dancing and singing.

July 19 at 2 pm: New England Guitar Society. NEGS returns to the Library for their annual mid-summer concert. The group was established to create a nurturing environment for classical guitarists to meet, share ideas, perform, compose, teach and grow as musicians. The NEGS goal is to increase the public interest in classical guitar, to ultimately create future players and audiences. The Society was conceived in 2004 by guitarists James Baird, president, and Cem Duruöz, artistic director.

August 9 at 2 pm: Saint. The Library welcomes the return of Stratford’s singer/songwriter Saint (Thierry Coriolan-Beauregard) in a special concert tour, “A Cry for Peace & A Shout for Love”. Through his music, Saint’s dream is to positively impact all groups by sharing songs that bring hope and love around the world. His songs and melodies are like peaceful waves of compassion and love that uplift his audiences.
