Stratford’s Annual Memorial Day Parade

Stratford’s annual Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 27th.
The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at Academy Hill, and the parade begins at 12 noon.
The parade route will be northbound on Main Street from Academy Hill to Paradise Green, according to police.
“As in years past, Main Street will be SHUT DOWN with NO through traffic as the parade goes by,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Northbound Main St. access will be PAST Paradise Green – Southbound Main St. access will be PAST Stratford Ave.”

RE: Rainout/cancelation of Traditional Academy Hill Ceremony
A quiet/rare/intimate interlude of a moment
A small Cadre of approximately 1.5 dozen souls informally assembled at Stratford’s historic Academy Hill War Memorial monument park.
An unnamed local minister respectfully took the initiative to recognize in prayerful memory all of the US Veterans who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in preservation of our precious Liberties ‘n Freedoms, exclusively endowed by our Creator.
Also incorporated were prayers for the the myriad of Elected Officials of our beloved Country—so as they would by be inspired & animated with the unifying wisdom necessary & emblematic of the needs of our current age.
Finally, Peace on Earth, via imploring God’s good guidance, was fervently & poignantly prayed for.
ALL for the benefit of humankind writ large, @ both locally and beyond, to the encompassing ends of the Earth & surrounding Space.
