State Representative Joe Gresko, (D)
121st Connecticut House District
I am excited to share that Stratford School District has been awarded $85,000 through the Connecticut State Department of Education’s Summer Mental Health Supports Grant program.
This generous funding will support the delivery of mental health services for our students during the summer months through 2025. This initiative is part of a larger effort led by Governor Ned Lamont and Education Commissioner Charlene Russell-Tucker, with significant support from our federal congressional delegation.
I want to thank Governor Lamont and our congressional representatives for their ongoing commitment to mental health. Their efforts have been instrumental in securing these vital resources, which will help create a safer, more supportive environment for our students. The collaboration between state leadership and local communities is critical to addressing the mental health needs of our youth.Â
As we move forward, we are excited to partner with local organizations and mental health professionals to implement these programs. The grant we’ve secured is a crucial enabler, allowing us to build on existing initiatives and introduce new programs tailored to the needs of our students. As always, if I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact my office at (860) 240-8585 or email me directly
